The International Space Education and Research Guild (ISERG) exists to facilitate meaningful collaborative research between international students, researchers, graduates, and industry professionals. The space industry is growing rapidly, yet institutions are struggling to provide reliable access to space research opportunities. ISERG bridges the gap by providing an accessible route to find research collaborators and topics, get mentorship and project oversight, and pursue publication opportunities for research in space science and technology, reducing the barriers to academic and professional success and accelerating the commercial space industry.

Q: Can ISERG serve as my primary affiliated institution for research publications?
A: Yes, ISERG provides essential resources to our active research projects, including academic and ethical oversight, a senior advisor for the project, and facilitating collaboration with universities and other institutions for resource access. Through these resources, our Research Associates can have better success when submitting manuscripts to conferences and publications.

Q: Do I need a space-related education or research background to apply to become an ISERG Research Associate?
A: No, but you must be a student in an accredited program with at least two years completed, be a graduate from one such program, have published research, or be currently working in the space industry.

Q: Are there other ways to get involved at ISERG besides becoming a Research Associate?
A: Yes! If you would like to volunteer as a Research Advisor, Research Assistant, or in another capacity, please fill out our contact form. We will do our best to find an opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact!

Q: Does ISERG perform research on aviation or aeronautics?
A: No, the research at ISERG is strictly within the scope of space science and technology. It is allowable (and encouraged) for a space research project to be applicable beyond the space domain, but the primary research focus must be space-related.
